3 Hours to Change

3 hours until I awake to drive the 5+ hours to Homer that will take us onto the Alaska Marine Highway ferry to Seldovia, and the beginning of our dream come true. I spent today tirelessly packing our home of the last 12 years and now, at 2:15am, I find myself looking out of each window, quietly reflecting on the lives and love that have blossomed here. Too tired to do the thoughts I want to share justice, I must now shut my eyes and experience the last time my body will hit this bed for 18 months or more. It was a perfect day today, a day filled with lasts and with laughter, with sunshine and hope. Goodbye Anchorage. Hello Change!
